Solid gold. That's what our Facets jewels are made from. But what does this mean? And what's the difference between 10k gold and 14k gold?

"k" or Karat is the scale that reflects the purity of the gold. The purer, the higher the k. Pure gold consists of 100% gold and has 24 karats. You might find the inscription “750”somewhere on an 18k gold ring. This means 18 karat gold only consists of 75% gold. The remaining 25% are different metal alloys that give more hardness to the gold.

Our Facets jewels are made from 14k gold, this equals 58,5% gold. 14k gold jewels are very durable and won't easily tarnish. It also has a beautiful yellow gold color that you’ll have a hard time telling apart from an 18k.

As we explained above, Karat refers to the fineness of gold. Carat refers to diamonds.
